Our Programmes
Here's a summary of all our programmes which are dedicated to fostering healing, growth and empowerment. Our priority is to ensure that Cameroonians thrive emotionally, mentally and most importantly, spiritually.
Educate
Social media awareness campaigns: Raising mental health awareness through educational posts, videos, and livestreams on our social media platforms.
Hospital-driven awareness campaigns: Partnering with local hospitals to organise mental wellness workshops, drop-in sessions and clinics for the community.
Community outreach: Providing mental health education in churches and schools through our Easter and Christmas mental wellness outreach programmes.
Encourage
Counselling Sponsorship Schemes: Partnering with hospital counselling clinics and other counselling services to provide free Christian-based counselling and therapy to those who need it.
Bursaries And Awards: Providing support to Cameroonians who are interested in getting the qualifications to become mental health professionals.
Empower
Sponsorship Schemes: Providing financial support to entrepreneurs and students in Cameroon through The Empowered Entrepreneur Fund and The Empowered Scholar Fund.
Competitions: Nurturing the talents and gifts of creative individuals in Cameroon through competitions like our Empowered Scribe Writing Competition.
Mentorship Programmes: Equipping 18-25 year olds with the knowledge and resources they need to pursue their academic and entrepreneurial dreams through The Empowered Mind mentorship programme.
Meet The Founder
The spark for the Love Qualified Foundation started with a powerful vision from God, combined with a burden to fulfil a need that has been weighing heavily on the people of Cameroon for many years. Rooted in compassion and a desire to see all Cameroonians thrive, the Love Qualified Foundation was created to provide opportunities and make help accessible to all Cameroonians. Behind it all is a founder who is on a mission to encourage others to experience the life-changing love of God.
Mrs Joan Embola Idowu
Joan Embola Idowu is a UK-based, Cameroonian-born physician associate, author, author coach and creative entrepreneur, who aims to share God's love one word at a time. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Love Qualified Foundation.
Through her, God birthed the Love Qualified ministry in 2018 to encourage others to experience the sovereign love of the one true God who has qualified us to be His beloved ones.
Two years later, in 2020, she received a vision from God to give back to her home country, which has been thrown into a civil unrest that has claimed so many lives, left thousands more internally displaced, and countless others extremely discouraged about their current reality.
The driving force of this foundation is to see Cameroonians thriving mentally and spiritually, so they can joyfully live the life God has called them to no matter what their situation is.
